Q:  What does the Architectural Committee do?

A:   The Architectural Committee represents the Autumn Crest Homeowners.  They review and approve all exterior house and landscaping plans to ensure that the proposed changes comply with the covenants, bylaws, and, architectural standards.

 

Q:  What rules does the Architectural Committee follow?

A.   The Architectural Committee is required by and operates within the authority of the Covenants, Section 6 “Construction Restrictions”.  The Architectural Committee also has guidelines to use with the Covenants.

 

Q:  Who elects the Architectural Committee?

A:  Committee members are appointed and overseen by the ACHA Board of Directors.

Q:  When must I submit a request?

A:   Members of the Association must submit a request PRIOR to beginning any project that will alter the exterior home or grounds.  This includes but is not limited to such things as roofing, siding, exterior painting, construction of outbuildings, pools, and fencing. 

 

Q:  Who do I submit my proposed plans to?

A:  Plans need to be submitted in writing.  Please submit your plans directly to the chair or any member of the architectural committee listed above.

 

Q:  How long does it take to get approval from the Committee?

A:  If your project is approved by the Committee, you should receive a written approval letter about a week after the committee receives the request but it could take as long at four weeks.   Some projects may require modifications before they can be approved.  Please do not proceed with a project until you have received written approval.
